Question : How do I get rid of ActiveX control that shuts me down when I click on that popup message No geek lingo, pls
When I go to this one web site six activeX control messages popup and when I click on one it says the program will shut down and ask if I want to save it to a dump file. I don't know what any of this is but when I click on either yes or no it closes me out of everything and returns to my desk top. MSN trouble shooting says adjust my add ons. I don't which addon to adjust and they offer no solution. Can someone out there please explain how to fix this. I used to be able to get on that site but all of the sudden now I can't, No, it is not a porn site just a plain site for anyone, except me that is. I have set no limits for viewing sites either.
Answer:
I recommend you go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced Tab and click the Reset button which disables all add-ons, changed settings, deletes all temporary files, and home pages. Read the notice screen so you can see what will be changed as a result of going back to default. This should help you with the problem since you were able to get to the site once before without any problems.
