Manuals made of toilet paper
I am extremely displeased by this series.
There is nothing to say about the content. it is the free tutorial you can browse and print for free on the W3School web site (there is no added content, but the books are good companions to brush up the on-line topics).
However, the book quality is a shame (for the price). It is made of toilet paper (or the like). You can't expect to keep it and use it as a book reference, or do wear white gloves and use caution when you turn the pages.
One can expect some paper quality for a manual. A manual is not a "read & trash" novel you buy at an airport stand; well yes, these manuals are... That's a cheap trick (as in cheap paper) from w3school and Wiley to make more bucks over the customers.
I don't recommend anybody buying these books until w3school/Wiley improve the paper quality & reduce the price. If you want complete manuals for web development, you can look elsewhere for more complete, cheaper and better books.

Great Reference
I really liked this book, it's a great reference. Simple and clear compared to other CSS books I've seen.
I know that all these tutorials are based on the website and there's really no additional content that you couldn't find online, but I like having it all in a book form that I can read on the train or on my sofa. I also like just having it as I work as a reference guide. And of course, I love that they have online samples to play with (haven't used them yet though).
Personally, I had no problems with the quality of the paper.

Question : Has anybody used the new iPhone App "Brushes" from Apple The 5/25 cover of the New...
...Yorker mag wasdone on this $4.99 application.http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/tny/2009/05/jorge-colombo-iphone-cover.htmlIt's incredible. I immediately downloaded it, and am totally enchanted. It's amazing what you can do. You can actually draw pixel by pixel, the detail you can get from drawing on this tiny little screen is amazing. There's a definite learning curve, but it is such a blast. In my own life, I don't know anybody else who has it or, quite honestly, cares. So I am looking for feedback from others....
Answer:
Looking at the cover of the June 1 New Yorker Magazine it is pretty hard to believe that it was created with a US$4.99 app on an iPhone. The app is Brushes App Store and it allows painting on the iPhone /iPod touch screen using your fingers and a variety of brush styles. If you have a Mac, you can export your work at resolutions up to 1920x2880. The app also saves a record of your brushstrokes and other actions and can replay them on your Mac. The artist who did the New Yorker cover, Jorge Colombo, obviously has impressive talent. You can see some of his other iPhone work here.Colombo told the New York Times he loves the app because it "made it easy for me to sketch without having to carry all my pens and brushes and notepads with me, and I like the fact that I am drawing with a set of tools that anybody can have easily in their pocket."This video will show you a stroke by stroke look at how the cover was created. If you're looking for more info on this app try the developer site here. Another similar app at the same price is Colors, App Store which has also been responsible for some impressive artwork.

Question : I need some advice on Credit Card Fraud
Okay, i went to this site http://www.thetaoofmakingmoney.com/2007/04/12/324.htmland learned how to make *Valid credit card numbers.i went on steam, punched in the credit card info. (all fake)and i completed the entire thing. im at the point were it is showing me my receipt. Im really wondering if i should press that Purchase button and download the game (half-life2).i enterd in completly fake billing information and such, and i am not anywhere remotly close to living in the united states. Will they be able to track me down and arrest me if i push that "Purchase button"or will everything go good and i will be with a free game no sweatOR will they ban my account all together from steam leaving me unable to play the gameso...Should i Go for it Getting the free game and all
Answer:
I'm betting it won't go through. The credit card authorization system checks for more than a valid number. That's why some legitimate cards get declined. The card holders may be late on payments or over limit, or may have closed the account.I'm betting unless it happens to be an active account number in good standing, and the expiration date matches, it will be declined.
