Alinsky is generally considered the father of community activism. Hillary Clinton did her senior honors thesis on Alinsky. He had a fascinating life, to say the least.

I'm giving a few books to a girl who is in third grade but has a first-grade reading level. Should I give her first grade books, second grade books, or third grade books? i tend to like older ones - agatha christie is the best, hands down. "and then there were none,""the murder of roger ackroyd," and "witness for the prosecution" are all murder mysteries with really unpredictable, gasp-worthy plot twists. a newer one that i haven't finished but find really interesting is "eye contact" by cammie mcgovern. it's about an autistic boy who witnesses the murder of his friend but is unable to communicate what he saw.hope this helps!
